Korture Now Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 4, 2026

Korture Now is made by Korture Technologies LLP ("we", "us"), Bangalore, India. This policy covers the Korture Now Android app. It is written in plain language, because that is how the app itself talks.

The short version

Korture Now works on your phone, for you, and everything it knows stays there. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads, no tracking identifiers, and nothing is ever sold. The app does not talk to the internet at all: it does not even hold Android's internet permission, so your phone's operating system itself enforces this promise.

What the app keeps, on your phone only

  • Your focus sessions and their history, including the tasks you write down.
  • Which apps you choose to hold at a distance during a focus session.
  • The weekly summary the app computes from its own records.
  • Everything read through the optional permissions listed below.

The app also turns off Android's automatic cloud backup for its data, so none of this is copied to Google's backup servers. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. There is nothing to delete anywhere else, because nothing exists anywhere else.

Permissions, all optional

The app asks for each of these only when you reach the feature, explains itself, and works with a little less if you say no:

  • Usage access lets the app notice which app is in front during a focus session, so it can hold a distracting app at a distance. This reading happens in the moment, on your phone, and is never stored as a browsing history of your phone use.
  • Display over other apps lets the app draw its calm holding screen. It draws, it does not read.
  • Notifications let a running session show its quiet status.
  • Do Not Disturb access lets a session quiet your phone, and restore it after, only if you turn that on.
  • Calendar lets the app notice a free gap in your day. It reads only when events begin and end and whether you are busy. Event titles, attendees, and locations are never read.
  • Sleep, through Health Connect, lets the app take a quiet read on last night's rest.

Health Connect, specifically

With your permission, the app reads one thing from Health Connect: sleep sessions, to work out how long you slept last night. That reading is used on your device only, to show you a gentle reflection of your night and to soften the app's suggestions after a short night. It is never transmitted off your device, never shared with anyone, never sold, and never used for advertising or marketing. You can revoke this permission at any time in Health Connect, and the app falls back gracefully.

Sharing

The app never posts, uploads, or shares anything on its own. If you tap share, your phone's standard share sheet opens and you choose where the card goes. That action, and everything after it, is yours.

Children

Korture Now is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If the app ever starts sending something off your phone, this policy will say so plainly before that version ships, and the app will ask before it happens.
